Universidad Rafael Landívar and ABG-EBG Join Forces to Develop Future-Ready Talent

The Universidad Rafael Landívar and the Escuela Bancaria de Guatemala (EBG), the educational brand of the Asociación Bancaria de Guatemala, have established a strategic academic alliance aimed at strengthening professional capabilities in the banking, financial and business sectors through specialized and innovative training programs.

A partnership focused on the changing needs of organizations

The agreement combines EBG's technical expertise and specialized knowledge of the financial sector with the academic experience of the Universidad Rafael Landívar through its Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales.

The institutions aim to create a training platform that responds to technological transformation, evolving business models and the growing need for professionals capable of making decisions based on information.

Rather than focusing solely on traditional education, the collaboration seeks to develop skills that can be directly applied to real organizational challenges, encourage continuous learning and contribute to competitiveness and sustainable growth in Guatemala.

Data Analytics becomes the first major initiative

One of the first programs resulting from the partnership is the Diploma in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Initial-Intermediate Level.

The program is designed for professionals who work with information and indicators and participate in decision-making processes. Its objective is to help participants transform data into useful information through tools including Power BI, Power Query, SQL and DAX.

The training covers the process from preparing and structuring data to developing indicators, reports and executive dashboards.

Its approach combines conceptual foundations, guided exercises, case analysis and an integrated business intelligence project, allowing participants to apply their learning directly to professional environments.

From data analysis to business decision-making

The diploma will address topics including Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence applied to data analysis, as well as financial and management KPIs, data modeling, executive dashboards, automation, security and data storytelling.

The program is designed to provide these capabilities starting from an initial level, creating a practical path for professionals seeking to transform data into useful information and strengthen decision-making across different professional fields.

The program will begin on October 22, 2026, with a total duration of 110 hours. It will be delivered through synchronous virtual sessions combined with autonomous work.

Preparing talent for a data-driven future

For EBG and the Universidad Rafael Landívar, the alliance represents a joint commitment to more specialized, relevant and market-connected professional education.

As technology, data and artificial intelligence continue to reshape how organizations compete and make decisions, the institutions seek to help professionals turn information into knowledge, knowledge into strategy and strategy into results.

The initiative is built around a broader vision of talent development, recognizing that organizational transformation also depends on the ability of professionals to continuously develop new capabilities.

The transformation of organizations begins with the transformation of their talent.
