Pharmadel Participates in the XXX Trifinio Medical Congress 2026
Pharmadel participated in the XXX Trifinio Medical Congress 2026 in Chiquimula, presenting Vogan (Vonoprazan) 20 mg.
Pharmadel participated in the XXX Trifinio Medical Congress 2026, held on September 4 in Chiquimula, Guatemala, bringing together healthcare professionals for a program focused on different medical specialties, including Pediatrics, Radiology, Pathology and Gastroenterology.
A medical meeting focused on professional education
The event featured conferences addressing topics across several areas of healthcare. As part of the program, Pharmadel participated through Lic. Héctor de León, the company's Technical Director, as a speaker.
The company also invited Dr. Mary Isabel Gudiel Lemus, together with Asomech, to deliver a conference focused on advances in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and Helicobacter pylori.
Dr. Gudiel Lemus is a physician and surgeon who graduated from CUNORI, with training in Internal Medicine and a subspecialty in Gastroenterology from the University of Guadalajara.
Her participation provided healthcare professionals attending the congress with an opportunity to learn about developments in the treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.

Pharmadel presents Vogan (Vonoprazan) 20 mg
During the congress, Pharmadel also presented Vogan (Vonoprazan) 20 mg, a medication belonging to the group of potassium-competitive acid blockers (P-CABs).
Vogan had previously been launched in Guatemala as an alternative for the management of gastrointestinal diseases. The medication belongs to a newer generation of treatments designed to control gastric acid production.
Unlike traditional proton pump inhibitors, vonoprazan belongs to the P-CAB group, which acts directly on the proton pump to inhibit acid secretion.
An alternative for acid-related gastrointestinal conditions
According to Pharmadel, Vogan is indicated for the treatment of different gastrointestinal diseases associated with gastric acid production, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers.
It can also be used as part of treatment regimens for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
The medication has health registration in Guatemala, and its launch in the country forms part of Pharmadel's incorporation of new therapeutic alternatives into its portfolio.
Pharmadel connects with healthcare professionals in the region
Pharmadel's participation in the XXX Trifinio Medical Congress 2026 created an opportunity to share information about Vogan with healthcare professionals from the region while contributing to a space for professional education on advances in the management of gastrointestinal diseases.
The event in Chiquimula brought together medical professionals from different specialties and provided a setting for discussing treatment developments, including those related to gastroenterology and acid-related conditions.
