McDía Feliz 2026: How Q13.4 Million Will Support Children in Guatemala

McDía Feliz 2026 distributed Q13,399,162 to four organizations dedicated to improving children's health, development and well-being in Guatemala. The funds will support medical care, family accommodation, specialized therapies and early childhood nutrition programs.

How the McDía Feliz 2026 Donations Were Distributed

The donations were allocated among four organizations, allowing them to continue existing programs and support projects benefiting children and families in different departments across Guatemala.

Casa Ronald McDonald received Q7,840,000, the largest contribution of this edition. The funds will help maintain the organization's four houses in Guatemala, which provide accommodation, meals and support to families traveling to the capital so their children can receive medical treatment.

Fundación Aldo Castañeda received Q2,688,000. The contribution will support specialized cardiac procedures for patients with congenital cardiovascular conditions, helping more children access the medical treatment they need.

Meanwhile, the Instituto Neurológico de Guatemala received Q1,654,226. The donation will finance the construction of new facilities and the purchase of equipment for PUNTEA, a program serving children with autism spectrum disorder. The expansion aims to provide capacity for more than 45,000 therapy sessions annually.

Finally, Puente received Q1,216,936 to support its Nútreme Centers in Chimaltenango and Alta Verapaz. These centers focus on early childhood care and the prevention of chronic childhood malnutrition through programs that also provide support to families.

Together, the four contributions total Q13,399,162, reflecting the participation of people who purchased Big Mac burgers and prepaid vouchers to support the initiative.

A Community Effort Bringing Guatemalans Together

The 2026 edition brought together artists, content creators, businesses and families who visited McDonald's restaurants to participate in special activities throughout the day.

One of the day's first purchases took place at McDonald's 100, where Banco Industrial purchased 40,000 Big Macs.

This marked the 26th edition of McDía Feliz in Guatemala, an initiative that has brought thousands of Guatemalans together over the years to support organizations working to improve children's health, well-being and development.

The campaign channels community participation into funding for programs that assist children and their families across the country.

McDía Feliz Vouchers Remain Valid Through December

People who purchased vouchers in support of the campaign can redeem them between October 8 and December 31, 2026. This allows supporters to enjoy their purchases in the months following the event while maintaining their contribution to the cause.

With the donations distributed and the results announced, McDía Feliz 2026 once again demonstrates how a shared community initiative can help sustain programs serving children throughout Guatemala.

The event's outcome reflects the collective contribution of the Guatemalans who participated by purchasing Big Macs and prepaid vouchers, supporting the four beneficiary organizations and the work they carry out for children and families.
