ÍNTEGRO Highlights Environmental and Social Impact in 2025 Sustainability Report

ÍNTEGRO presented its third Sustainability Report for 2025, highlighting the impact of its “Development with Purpose” model through job creation, sustainable urban projects, and environmental initiatives across Guatemala.

The company reported a 33% increase in managed assets during 2025 and said its operations represented 3.4% of national employment within Guatemala’s construction sector, positioning the developer as one of the country’s most influential private players in sustainable investment and workforce generation.

Sustainable development projects drive employment and regional growth

During 2025, ÍNTEGRO generated 9,436 direct jobs and 14,646 indirect jobs linked to the construction phase of its projects, surpassing a total of 24,000 positions connected to its operations.

The developer also invested more than Q40 million in public infrastructure works focused on road safety, water systems, sanitation, and urban furniture, directly benefiting more than 780,000 people in Guatemala.

As part of its regional expansion strategy, the company strengthened its presence outside Guatemala City through projects such as Los Celajes de Quiché, described as the first large-scale shopping center in Santa Cruz del Quiché, and Adra Petén, located in front of Lake Petén Itzá. The company also launched Alana, its sixth residential project focused on innovation and sustainable urban development.

Closing 2025 with 33% growth in our assets reaffirms our strength in the market. Our greatest success as a company is transforming that expansion into a positive and tangible contribution for Guatemala,” said Jorge Mario Figueroa, CEO of ÍNTEGRO.

Figueroa also emphasized the importance of sustainability reporting as a transparency tool.

Presenting these reports demonstrates transparency and allows us to show the results achieved during the year on issues that are important for our markets,” he said.

EDGE certification strengthens environmental leadership

The sustainability report was prepared under the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and aligned with the guidelines of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), reinforcing the company’s environmental, social, and financial transparency practices.

One of the company’s main milestones during 2025 was certifying 100% of its new projects under the EDGE standard, an international certification system promoted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank to encourage sustainable construction.

As a result, ÍNTEGRO now has more than 251,600 square meters certified or in the certification process, generating energy savings ranging from 20% to 35% and water savings between 24% and 46%.

The achievement also positioned the developer as the first EDGE Buildings Champion in Central America and the Caribbean, strengthening Guatemala’s environmental leadership within the regional real estate sector.

The company reiterated that sustainability can no longer be viewed as optional and that urban development must be carried out responsibly toward customers, the environment, and internal operations.

Through ÍNTEGRO Energy, the developer installed 3,670 solar panels across four shopping centers, avoiding the emission of more than 247,000 tons of CO₂. Additionally, 100% of the electricity consumption in those complexes was backed by International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-REC).

Female leadership and governance remain central to company strategy

The report also highlighted progress in social and corporate governance indicators. Women currently represent 53% of ÍNTEGRO’s workforce and hold 53% of strategic leadership positions within the organization.

The company employs 408 people, while 44% of its workforce operates outside Guatemala City, supporting regional development and decentralization of economic opportunities.

We are proud of the concrete progress achieved and reaffirm our commitment to continue improving, remaining transparent, and ensuring that our actions generate long-term value for people and communities,” said Paola Quezada.

In governance matters, the developer obtained the GuateÍntegra Type B certification and strengthened its cybersecurity standards, significantly improving its technological maturity level.

ÍNTEGRO plans new industrial and mixed-use projects

Looking ahead, ÍNTEGRO plans to continue certifying all new developments under the EDGE standard, expand operations into regions with strong human development potential, and launch ÍNTEGRO Industry, a new business unit focused on industrial developments.

The company also announced a pipeline exceeding US$100 million in planned projects, primarily centered on mixed-use developments that combine housing, industrial facilities, hotels, and shopping centers within integrated spaces.

There is a clear trend toward comprehensive and sustainable long-term projects, especially outside the capital city, where we seek to drive economic development and well-being for communities,” Figueroa concluded.
