Guatemala Introduces Arena Gallo, a New World-Class Venue in Cayalá

Arena Gallo was officially introduced in Guatemala as an ambitious project that aims to transform the country’s entertainment and events industry. Presented on the night of May 14, the venue is expected to become one of the most important event spaces in Central America, combining large-scale infrastructure with international design and operational standards.

The new arena will be built in Ciudad Cayalá, located in Zone 16 of Guatemala City, within a space of more than 90,000 square meters. Once completed, the venue will have the capacity to host up to 14,500 attendees.

A Venue Designed for International-Scale Events

According to the companies behind the project, Arena Gallo is expected to mark “a before and after” for live entertainment in Guatemala by offering a world-class infrastructure tailored for massive events.

The venue will primarily host national and international concerts, sporting events, conventions, and entertainment shows from different disciplines.

Its design will incorporate international-level acoustic engineering, operations, and venue planning, while also including solutions focused on mobility, parking, access points, and logistics to help reduce traffic impact in the surrounding area.

Architecture Inspired by Guatemala

One of the key elements highlighted during the presentation was the architectural concept behind Arena Gallo.

The design of the venue will draw inspiration from Guatemala’s volcanoes, lakes, natural textures, and other representative elements of the country’s identity and landscape.

The project seeks to combine modern infrastructure with cultural references that connect the arena to Guatemala’s heritage and environment.

Arena Gallo Expected to Boost Tourism and Local Development

During the presentation, Harris Whitbeck, director of INGUAT, stated that the project could generate a significant impact on tourism in Guatemala.

According to Whitbeck, the arrival of large-scale international events is expected to encourage the development of new hotels, commercial spaces, and services in the area to accommodate visitors traveling to the country for concerts, conventions, and sports events.

Companies Behind the Project

Arena Gallo is being developed through a collaboration between several companies involved in entertainment, design, and urban development.

The organizations behind the project include Factor, Asa Promotions, Zacsa Studio, and Ciudad Cayalá.
