Gabriel López represents Guatemala at the inaugural Shell V-Power Games

Shell Guatemala brought the country to one of Shell V-Power's most significant international experiences. Guatemala participated in the inaugural Shell V-Power Games, a global event held in Budapest, Hungary, bringing together nearly 60 content creators and personalities from more than 30 countries.

Guatemala was represented by Gabriel López from Speed Addiction, a leading figure in the country's automotive content space, who took part in a program of challenges, driving activities, Formula 1 experiences, and exclusive events connected to the longstanding relationship between Shell and Scuderia Ferrari HP.

Shell Guatemala brings local automotive content to a global platform

Guatemala's participation placed the country within an international community featuring content creators and entertainment personalities from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Among the participants were Nomzamo Mbatha, Engin Akyürek, Ian Lucas, Harry Pinero, Ola Nowak, Sebastian Vega, Maddie Grace Jepson, Eva Adamczyková, and George Kingara, alongside representatives from more than 30 countries.

“For Shell Guatemala, it is a source of pride that our country was part of the first Shell V-Power Games. This participation allowed us to bring Guatemala's talent, passion, and automotive knowledge to a global stage. Gabriel provided excellent representation, sharing the experience with international figures and demonstrating that our country also has voices capable of standing out in some of the industry's most important conversations,” said Zonia de Rosales, Shell Brand Manager at Uno Guatemala.

Four days of challenges, driving and Formula 1 experiences

Over four days, participants took part in challenges designed to test their skills, precision, reaction time, coordination, and teamwork.

The agenda included the Shell V-Power Games at Balaton Park, experiences connected to the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring, and activities designed to bring participants closer to innovation, motorsport, and performance.

The event also brought together creators from different markets to develop content and share the story of Shell V-Power from an international perspective.

One of the key moments was an exclusive activity where participants had the opportunity to meet Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers. The experience brought attendees closer to two of motorsport's leading figures and offered an opportunity to learn firsthand about the discipline, preparation, and demands associated with Formula 1.

For Gabriel López, representing Guatemala went beyond participating in a competition. The experience provided an opportunity to place the country on a global platform, connect with creators whose communities collectively reach millions of followers, and showcase the growth of Guatemalan automotive content to international audiences.

“Representing Guatemala at the Shell V-Power Games was an experience I will hardly ever forget. Sharing with creators from so many countries, taking part in challenges connected to high performance, and meeting Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc was incredible. I am very proud to have brought Guatemala's name to an experience of this scale,” said López.

The Shell V-Power Games also highlighted the more than 75-year relationship between Shell and Scuderia Ferrari HP, one of motorsport's longest-standing and most significant technical partnerships.

The Shell V-Power Race Fuel used by Scuderia Ferrari HP in Formula 1 is specifically formulated for competition and differs from the commercially available fuel.

However, the work carried out under the demanding conditions of motorsport contributes to the knowledge and innovation behind Shell V-Power fuels designed for the road.
