Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala Reinforces Its Mission to Keep Families Together
Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala introduces its new identity while reinforcing its commitment to Family-Centered Care and supporting families.
When a child faces an illness, the entire family experiences uncertainty, emotional strain and financial challenges. Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala has spent more than two decades supporting families during these difficult moments, helping them remain together and close to the medical care their children need.
To date, more than 45,000 families have stayed at Ronald McDonald Houses in Guatemala, receiving accommodation, food, rest and emotional support near the hospital while their children undergo medical treatment.
Putting Families at the Center of Care
Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala's work is based on the Family-Centered Care model, which recognizes the positive impact that a family's presence and active participation can have on a child's well-being and recovery.
Under this approach, families are considered an essential part of a child's care rather than an optional component.
This means providing more than a temporary place to stay. The organization seeks to keep families together throughout their children's treatment while helping reduce some of the barriers they face during the process.

From Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald to Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala
As part of this commitment, the organization has taken an important step by leaving behind the name Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald and adopting Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala as its new name.
The change is part of a global brand unification across more than 65 countries and seeks to communicate more clearly and closely who the organization is and the impact it creates for thousands of families every day.
The new identity goes beyond a logo change. It represents the essence of the organization's mission: keeping families together during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Through its work, Casa Ronald McDonald Guatemala provides accommodation, food, emotional support and a temporary home near the hospital, helping families stay close to their children during medical treatment.
A New Identity With the Same Mission
The new visual identity reflects a brand that is closer to families and aligned with its global identity, while preserving the essence that has guided the organization's work in Guatemala for more than two decades.
Although the organization's image is evolving, its purpose remains unchanged: to ensure that no family has to face the illness of a child alone.
