Carrera por la Educación: UVG to Host 5K and 10K Race With Banco Industrial
Carrera por la Educación invites Guatemalans to run the 5K or 10K Carrera 60 años UVG to support university scholarships.
Carrera por la Educación will bring together Guatemalans who enjoy sports and want to contribute to a better future for young people in the country. The Carrera 60 años UVG: Transforma Sueño en Oportunidades, supported by Banco Industrial, will take place on September 27, featuring 5K and 10K routes starting at Ciudad Cayalá.
A race focused on educational opportunities
The main objective of the event is to raise funds for the El Poder de Uno financial aid program, which helps more students continue their university education through scholarships and financial support.
Each registration represents a direct contribution toward creating new educational opportunities and strengthening the development of Guatemalan talent.
For this new edition, organizers expect approximately 1,700 people to participate in an event that combines physical activity, community and social impact.
Registration fees and race kit
Registration costs Q150 for adults and Q100 for children.
As part of their contribution, participants will receive a race kit containing:
- Official commemorative T-shirt
- Race number
- Backpack
- Medal
- Energy bar
- Fruit
When and where to collect the kits
The race kits will be distributed during the Expo, which will take place on September 25 and 26 at the central campus of Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG).
The event will culminate on September 27 with the 5K and 10K races, inviting participants to combine their passion for physical activity with a contribution toward greater access to university education for young people in Guatemala.
