Throughout 2025, the MAPFRE Foundation Volunteer Program engaged 9,286 volunteers across 2,613 activities, all carried out on a voluntary basis by MAPFRE employees and their family members. Year-on-Year Increase in Volunteers, Activities, and Beneficiaries
The 2025 results reflect sustained growth compared to the previous year. The number of volunteers increased by 16% compared to 2024, while the total number of beneficiaries grew by 11,750 people year over year. In addition, the program recorded 500 more activities than in the prior period, underscoring the expanding reach and scale of MAPFRE’s volunteer initiatives.
“The Volunteer Program aims to improve the quality of life and well-being of the most disadvantaged people in society, while also offering employees and their families the opportunity to help build a fairer, more supportive, humane, and sustainable world,” said Marta Granero, Head of Volunteering at MAPFRE Foundation.
Supporting Communities in Guatemala
In Guatemala, the MAPFRE Foundation Volunteer Program has become a comprehensive initiative addressing diverse social needs across the country. During 2025, volunteer actions directly benefited 2,880 people, while generating an indirect impact on an additional 150 individuals, with the active participation of 160 volunteers.
These initiatives focused on supporting the general population, with particular attention to people facing illness, children and adolescents, families at risk of social exclusion, older adults, and people with disabilities, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to social inclusion and community well-being.
Diverse Volunteer Activities and Local Partnerships

Throughout the year, volunteer activities in Guatemala covered a wide range of areas, including the delivery of food, clothing, footwear, school supplies, and hygiene products. Volunteers also participated in health, nutrition, and food awareness initiatives, reforestation efforts, and meal preparation for vulnerable communities.
These actions were carried out in collaboration with local organizations such as:
- Asociación Manabí Guatemala
- Junior Achievement Guatemala
- Abuelitos Heladeros
- Fundación K’armel Juyup’
- and Hospital Nacional Pedro de Bethancourt
Among other partners. This collaborative approach has helped strengthen a local network focused on generating sustainable social impact across different regions of the country.
Through these initiatives, MAPFRE Foundation reaffirms its commitment to Guatemala’s social development, promoting a culture of volunteering that contributes to building more resilient, supportive, and sustainable communities.
