Banco Industrial Launches El Ritual del Café with 13 Restaurants and Cafés

Banco Industrial officially presented the 2026 edition of El Ritual del Café, an exclusive gastronomic and cultural experience for Bi Visa cardholders that brings together Guatemalan specialty coffee, food pairings, design and art. The initiative seeks to highlight the work of Guatemalan coffee producers through distinctive experiences at participating restaurants and coffee shops.

El Ritual del Café brings specialty coffee to 13 establishments

Each year, El Ritual del Café features a selection of restaurants and coffee shops where visitors can discover a distinctive interpretation of the experience. For the 2026 edition, the participating establishments are Pizca Patisserie, 12 Onzas, Guaco Café, Bacan, Brio, Trépico, Teco Coffee House, Sophos Bistrot, Chichi, El Bistro by Dolcelato, Pias Bakery, La Maison and Niquito Café.

Each establishment will present its own interpretation of the experience, highlighting different profiles of Guatemalan specialty coffee through pairings and gastronomic proposals specifically created for the initiative.

A complete coffee and gastronomy experience

At each participating restaurant or coffee shop, the experience includes an artistically designed cup created to enhance the appreciation of the coffee’s aromas, a specialty coffee beverage, and three sweet, savory or mixed bites prepared to complement the coffee.

The experience also includes a base inspired by the high-altitude landscapes where coffee is grown, along with an explanation of the coffee’s origin, process and tasting notes.

Through these elements, each participating establishment offers a different way to explore Guatemalan specialty coffee while connecting it with gastronomy and design.

Guatemalan artist Marlov Barrios creates the 2026 cup collection

Art is also an integral part of El Ritual del Café. Every year, the initiative invites a Guatemalan artist to create a design for its cups, turning them into collectible pieces.

For the 2026 edition, Marlov Barrios created five drawings that bring the new collection to life, bringing his artistic universe to each of the pieces.

With this edition, El Ritual del Café brings together specialty coffee, gastronomy and Guatemalan art in an experience designed exclusively for Bi Visa cardholders.
