Guatemala City, July 14, 2025 – The Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG) has officially announced the third edition of the Industrial R-evolution Congress 2025, a high-level event that brings together academia, industry, and sustainable innovation. Scheduled for Saturday, August 9, the congress will take place at UVG’s Innovation and Technology Center (CIT) and is expected to host over 200 participants in a full-day agenda of keynotes, panels, job fair, networking sessions, and business exhibitions.

This academic and professional gathering has become a strategic platform for tackling industrial challenges in Guatemala and across the region. It also supports student development, career opportunities, and cross-sector collaboration to advance digital transformation and sustainable leadership.

A space for innovation, leadership, and real impact

A highlight of this year’s congress is keynote speaker Diego Fernández-Townson, Guatemalan entrepreneur and CEO of Sento, a conversational intelligence startup that analyzes over 2 million minutes of voice calls monthly for companies across Latin America. At just 27, he was recognized in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for his disruptive leadership.

“The congress has evolved into a true platform connecting academia and industry. This year, we’ve expanded networking opportunities, business engagement, and involvement from high school students interested in Industrial Engineering,” stated Ingrid De León, Director of Industrial Engineering at UVG.

According to José Cermeño, Academic Coordinator of the program:

“The Industrial R-evolution Congress promotes not only technical learning, but also the critical and collaborative thinking required for the future of the industry.”

Driving Guatemala’s industrial future through collaboration

The Industrial R-evolution Congress 2025 builds on past success, with previous editions featuring over 20 top-level speakers from companies such as CEMEX, Walmart, Cementos Progreso, Grupo Mariposa, Nestlé, Kellanova, and BAC. This year, these alliances will be strengthened with new participants and real-world success cases that highlight advances in digital transformation, sustainability, public policy, and corporate leadership.

The congress will run from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Tickets are available for Q150 (UVG students) and Q175 (general public). For more information, visit the official UVG Industrial Engineering social media or email: congreso.industrial@app.uvg.edu.gt
