UVG Bridge Business School Bets on AI and Analytics in New Academic Programs
UVG Bridge Business School launches new programs in global business and analytical economics to prepare leaders for a data-driven economy.
UVG Bridge Business School unveiled two new academic programs aimed at strengthening its educational offering and preparing professionals to navigate an increasingly dynamic and technology-driven business environment.
New degrees focused on global business and analytical economics
The announcement took place during the UVG Bridge Executive Series, a bi-monthly event that brings together business leaders, executives, and academics to քննարկ emerging trends shaping the future of business.
During the event, the institution introduced two new programs: a Bachelor’s in Global Business Management + Master in Management, and a Bachelor’s in Analytical Economics, both designed to address evolving labor market demands and regional competitiveness challenges.
International training for future business leaders

The Global Business Management + Master in Management program was structured as an integrated academic pathway combining undergraduate and graduate studies into a single track. This model enables students to build a stronger professional profile in a shorter period of time.
The program aims to develop leaders capable of operating in global corporate environments, where decision-making requires understanding diverse markets, economic trends, and technological transformation. It also focuses on strengthening leadership, strategic thinking, and business management skills in multicultural contexts.
This approach responds to the growing need for professionals who can lead expansion, innovation, and transformation processes in increasingly interconnected markets.
Data-driven economics and strategic decision-making
The second program, the Bachelor’s in Analytical Economics, focuses on developing strong analytical capabilities and quantitative skills to interpret complex economic systems.
Students will be trained in data analysis, economic modeling, and scenario evaluation, key competencies for understanding market behavior and supporting strategic decision-making in both the public and private sectors.
The program also seeks to prepare professionals capable of designing evidence-based solutions, evaluating economic policies, and contributing rigorous analysis to support sustainable development and organizational competitiveness.
Integrating AI and global trends into education
Both programs were designed under an academic vision that incorporates global trends such as Artificial Intelligence, advanced analytics, and internationalization, key elements in preparing professionals to face increasingly complex economic environments.

A platform to discuss the impact of AI in business
The programs were presented during a new edition of the UVG Bridge Executive Series, where participants explored the impact of Artificial Intelligence on business environments.
Discussions focused on how AI-driven technologies are transforming core organizational processes, from operational efficiency and strategic analytics to data-driven decision-making and evolving business models.
The event also included networking sessions, fostering stronger connections between academia and the private sector while encouraging collaboration and innovation.
Institutional transformation and strategic vision

Roberto Moreno, President of the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, highlighted that these initiatives are part of a broader institutional evolution:
“As we mark our 60th anniversary, UVG is entering a new phase of strategic transformation that reaffirms our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and strong ties with the productive sector. This initiative is part of our 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, through which we strengthen our core curriculum, expand new areas, and consolidate key enablers such as digital transformation and university-industry collaboration to prepare leaders capable of addressing increasingly dynamic and technological challenges.”
Education as a driver of transformation

Raúl Dacaret, Director of the Global Business and Economics Department at UVG Bridge Business School, emphasized that the launch reflects the institution’s commitment to preparing future-ready professionals:
“At UVG Bridge Business School, we believe the future of business requires leaders who can anticipate change and understand emerging trends.
