UNICEF Guatemala launches a corporate alliance to transform: Empresas que Suman
UNICEF Guatemala launches “Empresas que Suman,” a program inviting companies to invest in children’s rights and drive sustainable impact nationwide.

UNICEF Guatemala officially launched its new initiative, Empresas que Suman, a program designed to engage businesses of all sizes in advancing the rights and wellbeing of children and adolescents across the country.
In a nation where one in two children under five suffers from chronic malnutrition, and thousands more face limited access to healthcare, education, and protection, UNICEF is calling on the private sector to become a force for change.
What does Empresas que Suman offer?

The program invites large, medium, and small companies to contribute through strategic partnerships, financial support, and the integration of child rights and business principles into their corporate practices. Participating companies become part of a global impact network recognized for its commitment to children’s futures.

“When a company joins UNICEF, we work together not only to create direct, positive impact for children, but also to help the company understand how its operations affect them. We guide businesses in embedding this commitment into their sustainability strategies,” said Vincenzo Placco, UNICEF’s Acting Representative in Guatemala.
