Resikla Strengthens Circular Economy in Guatemala with New Eco Allies
Resikla expands Guatemala’s circular economy with new eco allies and recycling stations. Join the movement for sustainability and community impact.

Since its launch in 2022, Resikla’s recycling stations, located at PriceSmart Zone 10 and San Cristóbal, have collected over 260 tons of recyclable materials, preventing the emission of approximately 745 tons of CO₂. This citizen-driven effort now gains momentum with the addition of Nestlé, CBC, BAC, and the Coca-Cola Bottling System of Guatemala as new Eco Allies, joining PriceSmart, Invema, and Resikla in a strategic alliance for sustainability.
Accessible Infrastructure and Environmental Education
The stations enable proper disposal of materials such as PET and HDPE plastics, glass, paper, cardboard, metals, electronics, Tetrapak, and, most recently, multi-layer flexible packaging. Beyond facilitating recycling, Resikla promotes environmental education and responsible consumption, key pillars for advancing an inclusive circular economy.

Corporate Commitment with Impact
- Nestlé Guatemala, through its Reciclando Ando program, reaffirms that multi-sector alliances are essential to drive lasting change.
- CBC Guatemala highlights that its participation strengthens the vision of fostering responsible waste management habits.
- BAC Guatemala integrates this collaboration into its purpose of generating prosperity, with initiatives such as sustainable concerts and environmental education.
- Coca-Cola Guatemala emphasizes that this alliance promotes packaging circularity and a positive impact on communities.
“Their participation not only strengthens our operations, but also inspires more companies and citizens to join the recycling movement,” said Susan López, Resikla representative.

Expansion and Call to Action
In the coming months, a new station will be inaugurated at PriceSmart Fraijanes, expanding coverage and increasing the volume of waste reintegrated into the circular economy. Resikla invites all Guatemalans to actively participate by bringing their recyclable materials and following its social media channels to learn more about this initiative.
