Pollo Campero and Del Real Foods, brands of CMI, strengthen their presence in the United States during 2025.

Pollo Campero and Del Real Foods Strengthen Their U.S. Presence in 2025

Pollo Campero and Del Real Foods, two brands within the CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones portfolio, are experiencing an active 2025 in the United States. Both are strengthening their presence from different fronts: Pollo Campero through new openings in high-traffic cities, and Del Real Foods by expanding its retail reach, supported by a national campaign that increases visibility.

Following CMI’s majority acquisition of Del Real Foods in 2024, the U.S. market became the corporation’s second-largest commercial territory, boosted by the strong growth of the Pollo Campero restaurant chain.

This trend shows how each brand continues evolving within a broad, competitive, and diverse market.

Pollo Campero Adds New Openings in Strategic Locations Across the Country

In 2025, Pollo Campero maintains steady growth and now exceeds 140 operating restaurants in the United States. 30 confirmed openings have been recorded throughout the year, with new restaurants located in metropolitan areas and commercial corridors..

Some of the new locations include:

  • New York: a restaurant inside Penn Station, one of the busiest transit hubs in the country.
  • Florida: the brand’s first location in Tampa.
  • Minnesota: a new restaurant in Brooklyn Center.
  • Illinois: a location in Chicago’s Marquette Park.
  • Maryland: opening in Nottingham, near White Marsh Mall.

In California, several additional openings are underway:

  • Anaheim
  • Riverside
  • Lake Elsinore
  • Garden Grove
  • El Monte
  • Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco
  • Echo Park in Los Angeles

Pollo Campero’s presence in these areas reflects a clear growth strategy: expanding visibility in high-traffic spaces and strengthening its footprint in cities where Hispanic cuisine continues to attract a wide audience.

Del Real Foods Expands in Retail and Strengthens Its Brand Identity

Del Real Foods, which joined CMI’s portfolio at the end of 2024 following a majority acquisition, continues expanding its presence in supermarkets in 2025. The brand has increased product availability at Target, adding new items in the prepared foods aisle.

A key indicator this year is a +1.9-point gain in weighted distribution, according to Nielsen data. This improvement is paired with double-digit growth in both club stores and supermarkets, demonstrating wider penetration across existing retail channels.

Del Real Foods also launched its first national campaign, “Abuela Intelligence,” which includes digital content, television presence, and a tasting tour through states such as California and Arizona. The campaign connects the brand’s portfolio with a narrative rooted in traditional recipes and strengthens its bond with both Hispanic and non-Hispanic consumers.

Two CMI Brands Advancing From Complementary Fronts

Pollo Campero and Del Real Foods are moving forward from different strategic positions, yet they share a defining trait: both contribute to CMI’s growth in the United States. Under the leadership of Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga, President Chairman of CMI Foods and Chairman of the Board at Del Real Foods; Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez, President Chairman of CMI Capital; and Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez, Chairman of CMI’s Corporate Board, the brands continue to show consistent results.

Pollo Campero expands geographically through new openings, while Del Real Foods strengthens its retail presence.

The performance of these brands in 2025 offers a clear insight into their role within CMI’s U.S. strategy. Although they operate in different categories, they share an essential characteristic: they continue to advance steadily. This trend also shows how the U.S. market continues to welcome Latin-origin brands that blend heritage, consistent operations, and strong ties to the communities they serve.
