Manufexport 2025 reaffirmed Guatemala’s position as a regional leader in trade and manufacturing by bringing together more than 150 exporting companies and 260 international buyers in one of Latin America’s most important business events.

Held from September 23 to 25 in Antigua Guatemala, the Manufexport Retail Trade Expo 2025 became the central meeting point for wholesale and retail business across Central America, showcasing the region’s export potential and innovation capacity.

Ministry of Economy Promotes Guatemalan Companies

During the opening ceremony, Gabriela García, Minister of Economy, highlighted the importance of creating platforms that foster competitiveness and international exposure for local businesses.

The event featured a special Ministry of Economy (Mineco) Pavilion, where eight Guatemalan companies exhibited their products and received technical assistance, networking opportunities, and exposure to international buyers.

Organized by Agexport’s Manufacturing Sector, the event aims to drive export growth and strengthen Guatemala’s role as a hub for regional trade.

1.4 Million Points of Sale and Over 3,000 Business Meetings

Recognized as a results-driven trade fair, this year’s edition of Manufexport achieved remarkable figures: more than 3,000 business meetings between exporters and representatives from supermarkets, pharmacies, distributors, brokers, and importers, together representing over 1.4 million points of sale worldwide.

This year, the event also created new opportunities to support SME internationalization, featuring participation from Agexport’s Food and Beverage Commission, the Mineco Pavilion, the Cosmetics and Hygiene Commission, Made in Guatemala, and Women Exporters initiatives.

Each meeting opens new business opportunities, energizes the Guatemalan economy, and contributes to job creation,” highlighted event organizers.

30 Product Segments on Display

The Show It area allowed buyers to directly experience the quality of Guatemalan products, verify international certifications, and assess compliance with global standards.

Additionally, the Suppliers Pavilion showcased solutions in logistics, certification, packaging, and digital transformation, all designed to strengthen the country’s export value chain.

More than 30 product segments were represented, including:

  • Sweet and savory snacks
  • Non-alcoholic and natural beverages
  • Preserves, canned goods, confectionery, and chocolates
  • Spices, sauces, and condiments
  • Cereals, grains, jellies, frozen foods, oils, cosmetics, bakery products, desserts, and more

Even niche categories such as plastic goods and pet products formed part of the diverse map of interest for international buyers attending Manufexport Retail Trade Expo 2025.

Record Participation from International Buyers

The 2025 edition surpassed expectations, attracting more than 260 international buyers, 60% of whom visited Guatemala for the first time.

The United States led participation, followed by representatives from Central America, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and South America, underscoring Guatemala’s growing appeal as a trade destination.

With every edition, Manufexport continues to strengthen its role as the region’s premier platform for connecting products, companies, and markets, consolidating Guatemala’s leadership in manufacturing and export innovation.
