inDrive Consolidates Position as Leading Mobility App in Emerging Markets
inDrive ranks as the second most downloaded mobility app worldwide, surpassing Airbnb in travel and expanding across LATAM.
inDrive continues to strengthen its global footprint, ranking for the fourth consecutive year as the second most downloaded mobility app worldwide, according to recent data from Sensor Tower. The milestone highlights growing demand for digital platforms built around flexibility, transparency, and fair pricing.
inDrive Ranks Among the World’s Most Downloaded Mobility Apps
For the fourth year in a row, inDrive secured the position of the second most downloaded mobility application globally, based on insights from Sensor Tower, a leading market intelligence company.
The consistent ranking underscores a broader shift in user behavior: passengers and drivers increasingly favor digital mobility models that offer greater transparency and price negotiation instead of fixed algorithm-driven fares.
Beyond mobility, inDrive also climbed to become the fourth most downloaded app worldwide in the travel category, surpassing major global brands such as Airbnb and Booking.com, and moving up one position compared to 2024.
From Ride-Hailing to Super App

The company’s rise in global downloads is closely linked to its evolution into a super app model. In addition to urban ride-hailing, inDrive now integrates:
- City-to-City trips
- Delivery services, including courier and freight options
- Digital financial solutions designed specifically for drivers
This diversification enables the platform to address everyday mobility and service needs within a single ecosystem, strengthening user retention and expanding its addressable market.
400 Million Downloads and Expanding Presence
Globally, inDrive has surpassed 400 million downloads and operates in 1,065 cities across 48 countries. To date, the platform has facilitated more than 8 billion rides and service transactions.
Its growth has been particularly notable in emerging markets, including Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, and Colombia in Latin America. In these regions, demand for accessible and flexible mobility solutions continues to accelerate.
“Guatemala represents a key market for inDrive, and becoming one of the most downloaded mobility apps in the country is a true source of pride,” said Javier Martínez, Regional Lead for Central America at inDrive.
“Our growth reflects the trust that drivers and passengers place in a model that prioritizes safety, freedom of choice, and value for money. We will continue strengthening our proposition to expand our positive impact on the local economy and people’s daily lives,” he added.

Price Negotiation as a Competitive Advantage
One of inDrive’s defining features is its price negotiation model, which allows passengers and drivers to agree on fares before confirming a ride.
According to a recent study by Oxford Economics, fare negotiation expands mobility access for passengers while improving drivers’ perception of fairness. In Latin America, 66% of surveyed drivers stated that agreeing on the fare for each trip helped them generate better earnings.
This approach positions inDrive differently within the ride-hailing industry, aligning economic incentives for both sides of the marketplace.
AI and Advanced Analytics for Smarter Mobility

Alongside its negotiation-based model, inDrive incorporates artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to enhance user experience. These technologies enable:
- Route optimization
- Improved accuracy and efficiency of trips
- More personalized service recommendations
Despite leveraging AI-driven improvements, the platform maintains its core principle: ensuring that users travel safely while retaining control over pricing decisions.
A Growing Digital Platform in Emerging Markets
inDrive’s continued global ranking as one of the most downloaded mobility apps signals sustained momentum in emerging markets and a clear appetite for flexible, user-centered digital platforms.
With over 400 million downloads, operations across 48 countries, and a growing super app ecosystem, the company is consolidating its position as one of the fastest-growing digital mobility platforms worldwide, particularly in Latin America, where fairness, flexibility, and income generation remain central to the mobility conversation.
