CBR Guatemala, committed to training and professionalizing the real estate sector, will host the course Introduction to Certification Systems for Sustainable Building” in collaboration with the Guatemala Green Building Council (GGBC). 

This initiative aims to enhance the technical knowledge of real estate brokers and encourage responsible and sustainable development practices that are environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable. The course is exclusively available to active CBR Guatemala members and has limited capacity.

Course Details and Schedule

The training will take place on Wednesday, August 27, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the CBR Guatemala training room (Edificio Design Center, Zone 10, Tower 1, 4th floor, Office 406). 

The session will be led by Arch. José Manuel Ávila Utrera, Technical Director at GGBC, who will present the core principles of certification systems supporting the design, construction, and operation of environmentally responsible buildings.

Focus on Leading Sustainable Certification Systems

The course will provide an overview of the most widely used sustainable building certifications in Guatemala, including LEED, EDGE, and CASA Guatemala. Participants will gain insights into the scope of each certification and strengthen their sales and communication strategies for projects with a sustainability focus.
