The 12th San Martín Race will take place on October 26 in Guatemala City to support the Margarita Tejada Foundation and promote the inclusion of people with Down Syndrome.

San Martín's race returns on October 26 for its 12th edition, consolidating itself as a sports and solidarity event that brings together families, athletes, and companies with one common goal: raising funds for the Margarita Tejada Foundation’s scholarship program, which supports people with Down syndrome in Guatemala.

An Event that Combines Sports and Solidarity

The event will kick off on 12th Street, Reforma Avenue, Zone 9, Guatemala City. Warm-up starts at 7:00 a.m., followed by the traditional “Caminatón” at 7:30 a.m., and the official race at 8:00 a.m., featuring 5K and 10K routes along the Reforma-Américas circuit.

Since its first edition, the San Martín Race has become a tradition that promotes inclusion. To date, it has raised more than Q.4.9 million, funds that have expanded services, provided training, and created greater opportunities for the integration of people with Down syndrome.

Daniela Corella, Corporate Financial Manager at San Martín, said:

Registration and Race Expo

The registration fee is Q.125, and runners can sign up starting September 3 at all San Martín stores, Sport& outlets, and the official website.

The Expo and kit distribution will take place on Saturday, October 25 at Oakland Place’s basement level, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The commemorative kit includes a bib with timing chip, t-shirt, and products from sponsoring brands.
