Experience Tea Festival 2025 in Guatemala — a week of tea tastings, culture, and wellness from Nov 3–9 in Antigua and Guatemala City.
Guatemala is getting ready to host the fifth edition of the Tea Festival 2025, a celebration that blends gastronomy, culture, and wellness while positioning the country as one of the few tea producers in Latin America. The festival will take place from November 3 to 9 in Antigua Guatemala and Guatemala City, promoting the country’s emerging tea culture and boosting healthy gastronomic tourism.
A Week to Experience the Flavors and Creativity of Tea

Throughout the week, more than 100 restaurants across the country will participate in the Tea Hopping experience, offering visitors the chance to explore different interpretations of this ancient beverage. From traditional brews to creative infusions, cocktails, mocktails, and even tea-inspired shots, the event promises a journey through flavor, innovation, and well-being.
In Antigua Guatemala, attendees will enjoy the city’s iconic cobblestone streets and colonial charm, while in Guatemala City, the festival will unfold across Oakland Place and Fontabella, two vibrant cultural and commercial centers. There, local tea makers and artisans will showcase their unique takes on tea, highlighting Guatemala’s growing reputation as a tea-producing nation.
Culture, Flavor, and Prizes Along the Way
Visitors can collect a Tea Festival map at Pachamama Blends in Antigua, or at Oakland Place and Fontabella in the capital, to guide them through the Tea Hopping route.
Those who complete five free tastings will receive a commemorative collectible mug, courtesy of the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT). Additional prizes await participants who complete the entire route, encouraging exploration and engagement.
The official opening ceremony will be held on November 3 at 5:00 p.m. at the Hotel Camino Real in Antigua Guatemala, marking the beginning of a week dedicated to taste, culture, and sustainability.

Promoting Gastronomy, Wellness, and Sustainable Tourism
Organized and promoted by INGUAT, the Tea Festival reinforces the Guatemalan government’s commitment to gastronomic innovation and sustainable tourism.
“Through events like the Tea Festival, Guatemala continues to showcase its creativity, diversity, and dedication to well-being,” the organizers noted.
With each edition, the festival strengthens Guatemala’s role as a regional leader in tea production and as a destination that invites both locals and visitors to savor experiences that connect flavor, culture, and community.
