Antigua Guatemala Blooms with the 2025 Flowers Festival

The 2025 Festival of Flowers is set to transform Antigua Guatemala into a vibrant meeting point for art, nature, and community. Taking place on November 15 and 16, this ninth edition invites visitors to experience the city “When the Stars Bloom,” a poetic theme that celebrates inner light, creativity, and the beauty of the natural world.

A City Where Art and Nature Come Together

From 8:00 a.m., Antigua’s iconic streets will come alive with color and fragrance. The Calle del Arco will serve as one of the main venues, alongside other beloved landmarks such as Parque Central and Tanque de la Unión.

This year’s festival embodies the spirit of “Antigua, the place where stars bloom” and “Antigua, City of the Arts,” paying tribute to the artistic brilliance of figures like Cruz España, Luis de Lión, Carlos Mérida, Roberto González Goyri, Frida Kahlo, Botero, and Van Gogh.

The festival’s concept goes beyond visual beauty, it aims to connect art with emotion and nature. The 2025 edition celebrates “the inner bloom,” representing the light that exists within each person and the magic that reflects from the sky to the earth.

Community and Collaboration in Full Bloom

Adding to the celebration, the Commission of Flowers, Plants, and Ornamentals from AGEXPORT (the Guatemalan Association of Exporters) will support the event by providing flowers for participants and displays. This collaboration strengthens the sense of community and sustainability that defines the festival year after year.

With its mix of creativity, floral artistry, and cultural spirit, the Festival of Flowers 2025 promises an inspiring weekend for locals and visitors alike—an event where Antigua truly becomes the city where the stars, and the flowers, bloom together.
